I have this headset. It works but there are several issues. I couldn't get the THX to work after I upgrade it to Windows 11. I just use the basic drivers and it seems to work but without the 7.1. the microphone for some reason is directional and you have to actually curve it to point to your mouth so that your heard well. Also the range is very poor. I get about 20 feet at best with direct line of sight to the usb dongle. For 35 bucks it's okay but it does have issues.

Thank you OP! I've been looking for a wireless headset that has an actual mute function built into it. There are times when I don't want people to see me muted in Teams, and being able to disable the mic without tripping the indicator on the screen is perfect. These seem like pretty good quality.

I use mine on PS5 daily. I even have a spare one I have never used because it's that good of a headset. Only issue is turning the ear cup(s) can put pressure on your ears or your head if you play with "one ear on, one ear off" often. You can turn off vibration from the PC app if you don't like that also. I recommend highly for the price.

Thank you OP! I've been looking for a wireless headset that has an actual mute function built into it. There are times when I don't want people to see me muted in Teams, and being able to disable the mic without tripping the indicator on the screen is perfect. These seem like pretty good quality.

That's a required feature for me when searching for headsets. I had an older SteelSeries that had a retraceable mic boom that muted itself when retracted, but I prefer the headset I have now that has a toggle switch.

If you have a lead on a headset with a switch that actually mutes the mic, please let me know! I'll deal with turning the boom up and down but 100%, a switch that doesn't just engage Teams mute would be stellar!

Here is what I am using now: SteelSeries Arctis 1 [steelseries.com] and I enjoy it.

Great headset for work and play. The wireless (not Bluetooth) dongle and range are pretty amazing. 36ft range, I believe. I've walked outside my house while still on conference calls without being cut off.

Some comments in the reviews says it doesn't have a mute button, some say it does.. hmm
