One S or Series S? Assuming Series S, yes and no. Yes because it's cheap and a decently fast read SSD (for USB3). No because you can't run Series S/X optimized games directly off of it, you would have to transfer them from this external to your internal drive. That process may require you to transfer games off of your internal to make room, which can be arduous if you're impatient.;

Those have USB 3.0 ports right? If so, you won't see the "up to 800MB/s" advertised for this drive (3.0 capped at 500MB)

I highly DONT recommend this drive. It gets slower as you fill it up until the write speeds slow to a crawl. Avoid at all costs unless you like torturing yourself.

Which one is better, this or the WD - easystore 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable SSD, that was on sale a few weeks ago for the same price?

I got this specific one with 4tb size for using as a backup for all my movie / anime rips. For the small factor, I think no other ssd beats the form factor.

Yep. This is because it is QLC and Micron cheaped out. Samsung is better.

Also, this product has horrible reviews.

You can't trust the average rating score. Even the crummiest products have good rating scores. It's about the content inside those reviews that matter.

Have you ever seen an Amazon product with a 1/5 score and that has many reviews?

No, because a product with a 1 rating wouldn't sell that many
