Got this around 2016 for ~30$. The UMC22 does not have drivers supported by the company. The drivers are now depreciated and Behringer recommends using the generic ASIO4ALL driver. Some people do not like using ASIO4ALL, so it is up to personal preference.
On YouTube, there is a guide to try using an old Behringer driver for the UMC22 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRmnDkS3Wzo[youtube.com]). I could NOT get it to work however. Looking at the driver installation files, the driver set-up expects a USB device with certain PID and VID which my device did not have. Everytime, the set-up would fail not matter what I did (I even reinstalled Windows 7 AND 10). Some in the comments say that it worked for them. Because of this, I expect using this fix is a GAMBLE and not certain.
I currently use this device for Rocksmith 2014 so ASIO4ALL is not a bother.
This performs pretty similarly to the Scarlett Solo that everyone raves about without the Air mode. You get Air mode, better build quality and better drivers with the Scarlett but it's also over double the price.
I bought my little cousin one of these last year for his streaming setup paired with a Rode Podmic and it sounds great
AFAIK any device that transform digital audio to analog audio is considered DAC. So, yes, this can be DAC. However it may not have an Amp functionality to drive high end headphones.

I used a similar one with two inputs and found other interfaces to be of such higher quality I gave it away to a friend. I'm not sure if my unit was bad, but I noticed a big difference in the audio quality in the headphones of whatever I was listening to. The same material didn't sound as good through the Behringer, so if that's important to you I would maybe avoid.

I'm much more interested in how it transfers to a computer than to headphones, but that's relevant information.
Could this be used for karaoke? Trying to figure out something simple and cheap for new years
You probably need to define something could be use as karaoke. Even in youtube, you can find a lot of music with subtitle which you can sing alone. If you have any USB mic, you can already input your voice using the mic to the computer and output it to TV screen (use as monitor) and speaker, etc. With USB mic, you don't need audio interface like this.

Converts XLR microphone output to USB for recording on a computer. Also allows for zero-latency monitoring/listening to the microphone

The U-Phoria UMC404HD is on sale for $150 at Sweetwater. I used that to make an offer of $90 on a used one on eBay and got it.
