Better to get the $100 Xbox gift cards for $80 a piece from Costco and then use them to buy a series x from MS store. Limit of 2, but if you have access to separate accounts that's $100 off if you can get $500 worth.

I am also thinking if I should do a $151 three year GCU, or just buy few disks on sale to give me a start. I am new to console gaming, any inputs from anyone are appreciated!

i got 3 yrs for about $65ish total....

if you're willing to read up on it, you get cheap monthy GOLD deals here on SD....for me, I got (9) 3 month deals.... when you activate them, you get one month free when activating them online and click re-occurring billing..... then, after you do it, you turn off re-occurring billing. Then rinse and repeat and you get a total of 36 month....then you use the offer of $1 to turn it all from GOLD to gamepass ultimate...theres quite a few posts threads here explaining it step by step

Wife got a $200 reward from MS and we only paid $300 for the xbox series x during thanksgiving! We haven't even bought one single games and we are already addicted. Already so many fun free games available! Dauntless, free guys, destiny 2, resident evil 2 (this one is very old)... etc... the list is very long! planning to get it takes two, gears 5, The ascent, and the Halo: the master chief Collection. Looking forward to the diablo 4 release this summer!

I read that it is also fully compatible to all past xbox games (xbox one/360), I haven't tried it yet. Will be hunting down some old games to play too.

I also love the remote play, all my computers, tablets/phone, and 4 of my TVs in various rooms can play without moving the console.

Yeah, it's a really stupid policy. It's a pain for you because you'd have to set up a new console and it's a pain for them to have to deal with the return.

I bought a 77" TV earlier this year and it went on sale after the price match window. I asked for them to make the exception and of course they didn't. So I went through the hassle of having it picked up and reordered the TV. That cost Costco more money since they had to have the guys out here to rebox it up and then set my new TV up. Just a stupid policy that isn't good for us or Costco.
Same for Amazon. Customer support told me they don't do price matching but it is fine that I return and reorder. The extra unnecessary effort and cost bother everyone but them who actually pay for the cost.
