How safe the docks? 25 seems like a good price but I remember issues with 3rd party docks.

One important thing to consider is that this dock uses a proprietary charging port, not USB-C, so if the charger dies, it'll be annoying to find a new one. Better off getting a third party dock that uses USB-C.

I bought this in November and have been using it just fine. It works well for my non-oled switch. It does leave slight scuffs where the console touches the grips that hold it in place, but that's below the screen and isn't noticeable when I take it out to play in handheld. No complaints with the functionality and price, and I'm happy that I don't have to move my dock between tvs.

Damn a 39 watt USB C charger for $12 isn't bad at all and I do need a second dock for the bedroom tv. I normally have my Switch docked on my desk that goes into a second monitor but the dock seems cool too. Has anyone had one for an extended period of time? 6+ months perhaps?

Not only have I been using this dock for years. I have also used 2 gullikit docks for all my families switches for years with no issue.

I have bought 3 of these now (exclusively the Rocketfish brand). They work great for other bedrooms or for on the go. I bought one for the grandparents house, so I can just send the kiddos with the switch. We also used one in a hotel room for about a week. Never had any heating issues or loss of save files as another post mentioned. I think I might like it a tiny bit more than the original dock because it is easier to slide the switch onto the docking connector

My rule of thumb since the nyko problem is to make sure you do not ever update in a third party dock and B is to make sure the dock can take a factory Nintendo Switch charger usbc and not some generic barrel jack. As much as people swear by the genki dock I don't trust is since it doesn't use a Nintendo adapter as it's an all in one package.

I have the skull and co grip case, and it does not fit in this dock. It fits in the Nintendo branded dock though. Taking the case off, this one works great though.
