light bulbs are now required to produce a minimum amount of light per watt used or they cannot be sold in California. May be this is the reason.
My home is 100% daylight bulbs. Warm light outs me to sleep and is awful seeing true color of everything
It's more of personal preference. Ever since I got my first 5K Daylight bulb, I changed all the lighting in my home and office to 5K lights and never went back.

These would make great grow lights for the price, without the markup of buying an LED specifically marketed as a "grow light".

^^ This. It also depends on how much natural light you get in the house year round. If one is a light sleeper, I think they should stick to warm 2.7k, but if sleeping is not a problem, 5k makes things appear so much better.

These are mostly used in small can lighting. I have no idea who would want daylight (5000k) bulbs as overhead lighting. Feels like you're in an operating room.
Your eyes are optimized for daylight. The idea of orange light occurred because old tungsten lightbulbs were inefficient, and radiate at lot of energy in the red, and almost nothing in blue.

In late evening the sun is low in the horizon, and filter away blue. This tells your brain to get ready to sleep.

So if you want to function normally, use "daylight" or "cool". If you want to not see so well, and get tired and fall asleep, use "warm". Sidebar: "Cool" light is actually warmer,5000K, and "warm" is colder 3000K.

Thought these would be overhead recessed can lights but these are far too small. I think I need a different size than par20. Need br30

Prime shipping is not what it used to be. Because of that I'm beginning to buy from other retailers. Just last week, BB delivered an order the same day.

I want warranty against defects for things that I buy . . . price has absolutely nothing do do with it. if the item states that it's going to work for 10 years i expect it to work for 10 years. very simple concept. in this case they make a claim that it will work for 10K hours, if i install the bulb in the bathroom and use it for say 4 hours per day, i expect it to run for 7 years. if i buy 20 boxes and all of them burn out within a year . . . i will be expecting a refund for my $100+ purchase.

Peace

This. Prime used to be legit 2 day shipping. My, how the times have changed. Now most purchases with prime take 4-5 days.
