This is an awesome package. 6800h is great and the igpu is awesome. I'd totally get if I didn't recently buy a Zephyrus G14.

The website warns that going to 32gb won't allow you to pick the OLED screen, but it's not in the options anyways…

Upgrading to 32GB memory and 1TB is $842. Not bad.

those are intel cpu though, compares to the 680m on 6800H, the graphic performance is day and night, 680m is on par with GTX 1650, and the intel cpu prob ran out of battery in 3 hours, 6800h can do 10+ hours while still have a iGPU double the performance of intel iris xe

Yeah I guess the deal is not in full effect anymore. It is still a good deal but I am not gonna pay $100 more for something that was just at a cheaper price a couple of days ago. Really unfortunate but I guess I will have to wait until the price drops again.

I meant it's the same cheap price for me, not the new price. I have $720.60 with both coupons id.me for this config:

Working for me as well, I ordered the same config but added the 3-year warranty for another $50 or so, total $771 before tax. I don't need anywhere near 32 GB RAM, but it was a very cheap upgrade because it seems the ID.me discount only kicks in above a certain price threshold.

Also, R* has 10% CB right now.

What'll make this really slick is if I can get Lenovo to take off another 10% for the long lead time, and/or an Amex offer pops up between now and delivery and I can change form of payment - fingers crossed for the 15% one (from just before Black Friday) to show up again.

My fault, I should have asked which price you meant. Anyways I found the problem I was using a different coupon code that did not take off as much. I forgot about the SUPERTHINKDEC one.

What is this "R* has 10% CB" ?

Seems like code because people can't say R* ? Help us newbies out.

In case anyone was wondering, this does have a socketed (not soldered) wifi/BT card - I checked the hardware maintenance manual. I've passed on quite a few ThinkPad/ThinkBook deals because of soldered wifi, which is unacceptable to me (unless it's an Intel chip, but they seem to be soldering Qualcomm chips on Ryzen laptops).

I'm on the fence on this one. Been sitting in my cart for 2 days.

Tip: There's a site called Ca$h back monitor (replace the symbol with the normal letter) that shows you at a glance what portals are offering for a given site and even what they've offered in the past. Not all the portals are reputable/reliable, though.

Seems like a good deal overall. Curious how much it weighs and what the battery life is like.
Weight 3.09 lbs
Complete specs here [lenovo.com].

There aren't any reviews because this is a new model, but it uses the same chassis as the G2, so check out this review [youtube.com] of that model from a very reliable tech reviewer. Of course this deal doesn't have the OLED display. iGPU performance should be quite a bit higher in the G3. He says to expect 7-8 hours, but that's with OLED, I think this G3 should do a little bit better due to the LCD display and the (modest) efficiency improvements in Ryzen 6000. FWIW Lenovo spec'd battery life at 9.5 hrs for G2, 11.8 for G3, and that appears to be an apples-to-apples comparison.

This would be perfect with an OLED screen Frown

This is a sweet combo after maxing out cpu and memory during the initial config. Battery should be able to last the workday (8+ hrs). Radeon 680M is also above average for an iGPU. What I really like is the additional M.2 2280 slot for adding another NVMe drive later. The USB4 (Thunderbolt) and HDMI ports are just icing on the cake. Quite a complete package for a little over 3 lbs.

All that said, I've just cancelled my order mostly due to uncertainty of delivery date. I hope this opens up a slot for one of you to get it sooner. CB from that famous site is now higher (10% as of 12/26), so you don't mind the wait.

After some research, I ordered a refurb from ebay with 2-yr warranty and earlier delivery date. The specs aren't as nice as the Thinkbook but cpu is on par with a faster discreet GPU. It's the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X (AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS, 1TB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0x4 NVMe, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, Touchscreen 14.5" 3K (3072x1920) IPS 400nits, 32GB LPDDR5-6400). Price ($818 before tax) was about the same as the Thinkbook with upgrades so that went into my decision as well. This one is also missing USB4 and HDMI ports but oh well.

Ditto. I think it was an option with the 16GB config but it's missing the option for some reason (supply chain issue?). But OLED would drain the battery faster as well. There's enough space in the chassis to incorporate a larger 70Wh battery and I hope the next iteration from Lenovo benefits from it.

haha not surprised you got a thumbs down for pointing this out. ive said the same thing and other thinkpad fans try to shout me down by claiming its just as good as intel lmao. bad wifi is one of the biggest dealbreakers by far for laptops this should be a much bigger deal than it is currently

Forgot to ask. Is the memory dual channel for both 16gb and 32gb?
