This is an awesome package. 6800h is great and the igpu is awesome. I'd totally get if I didn't recently buy a Zephyrus G14.

The website warns that going to 32gb won't allow you to pick the OLED screen, but it's not in the options anyways…

Upgrading to 32GB memory and 1TB is $842. Not bad.

those are intel cpu though, compares to the 680m on 6800H, the graphic performance is day and night, 680m is on par with GTX 1650, and the intel cpu prob ran out of battery in 3 hours, 6800h can do 10+ hours while still have a iGPU double the performance of intel iris xe

I've used the AX210 (and other Intel wifi cards) before, yes get it on eBay, around $15-20. With the Realtek card the speeds are all over the place, never an issue with Intel.
What's in the Elitebook? If not Intel, did you also replace it?

Oh, do you know if the thinkbook Windows 11 serial is in the bios like the Elitebook?

The HP came with a Mediatek card, which I also replaced with AX210. Yes the OEM license key is embedded in firmware, that's true of almost any laptop that came out in the past several years that came with Windows.

Opened mine up to swap out SSD (WDC SN770 1TB) and wifi/BT (Intel AX210). The screws are Torx T5. Getting the bottom panel off is trickier than usual - with most laptops I start prying near the hinge, but you can't do that with this one. Instead, bend the keyboard deck a bit at the front to create a little bit of a gap, get the pry tool in, and then work your way around. Once inside it's all pretty straightforward. The original SSD was wrapped in some foil and a piece of insulation material, but I doubt it really matters if you put that on the replacement SSD - I didn't.

I also did a clean install, and the computer is very quiet and cool (esp. for an H-series processor). The fan rarely comes on in normal use even in "Extreme Performance" mode and with Windows set to Best Performance. When it does come on, it's VERY quiet - you need to be in a quiet room to even hear it.

I paid just over $600 incl. 10% tax (after rebate, $100 Amex offer, and $50 credit for the delay in shipping). Probably the best laptop - and best laptop deal - I've ever gotten. The only downsides of note are so-so battery life and brightness (300 nits).

I'v been setting up the 2 laptops the past week. I like the lenovo better, except the screen on the lenovo is dim.

Also, stupid HP auto updated the freaking BIOS without any warning. WTF
