Yep it's the new hottest feature
It's never the bottom. Every TV goes down. It's going to be cheaper next year. Then it'll be even cheaper the year after that, and so on. You can perpetually wait for it to keep going lower and lower, until it's no longer worth getting, because there's something way better, so you just have to pick a price that you don't mind paying.
I recently bought this tv through buydig and they shipped me a cheap Samsung instead! I spoke to their manager several times on the phone and they made no attempt to rectify the situation so I requested a refund. Now I have this giant tv box at my house waiting for them to arrange pick up.

How far out was the delivery set for?
When they call , they can set the next day. I did mine for Jan 11th.

I also got a call to schedule the delivery. They wanted to deliver it tomorrow but couldn't be home. Scheduled for Friday.

Interesting. The tracking link updated to say "LEFT MESSAGE FOR CONSIGNEE, AWAITING RESPONSE", but I've received no such call or message. Not sure they are considering me the consignee in this instance or of they mean the final delivery service.

EDIT: Just found out my voicemail hasn't worked since September, so it's entirely possible they did try to call and it didn't show up as a missed call..

Looking forward to hearing about your delivery experience if I don't get mine before.

If it's a flush mount, I'd say you are good provided the VESA screws are compatible. The extra size really would not matter with a flush mount; especially if the weight is the same or less than your existing 55"

If your mount has an adjustable swing-arm, I would do some extra checking before because the swing-arm/extension limits for a 55" TV would likely not be the same for a 77"; regardless of weight. A large TV will likely be less stable on an arm intended for a smaller size.
Thanks - It's a swing arm over the fireplace. I've never had a flush mount. Is flush mount preferred for these tvs? I still haven't told my wife about it, but I'm scared that she is going to say that it's too big. (keep the that's what she said jokes to a minimum please) Smilie

Better to ask for forgiveness than permission, I always say.

With the swing arm intended for a 55", you will likely be very limited in its range/motion if mounting a 77". This thing is 67.4" wide which is, on average, 20" wider than most 55" TVs. It's more about the available clearance and center of gravity than it is about weight.

You mean you didn't open it and inspect it and take photos of it and power it on like the instructions said the do? But what if you got an old Samsung instead of an OLED?

Joking aside, glad to hear it was painless. I'm looking forward to Friday.

So, how is the tv folks? What is your mounting preference? Flush, swivel, or stand? Does it look good??

Yes I also got on 11th without any issue. The box was in perfect condition. I asked him to check the screen and he helped to open the box. The screen was not cracked. I installed that yesterday and its running fine. It's really too big. I change from 55" to 77" to looks so huge Smilie.

Mine got delivered this morning right on time. Box was perfect with extra padding added to it by shipping company.

Delivery guy was super helpful and even agreed to help me carry it upstairs. Opened it up and checked what we could see without taking it all the way out and everything looks perfect. Tipped him $20 for helping out.

I'm sure he would've waited around and helped me set it up, but I have a buddy coming over in a bit to help out so we can take our time.

Mine will be going on a stand; not mounted.

Glad everyone's delivery went well. Got mine today. Delivery was great. Delivery guy helped unpack and check it out. I didn't make him wait to plug it in. Tossed him a $20 for helping out.

Box and TV were in great shape, no issues (other than working with the wife to get it mounted in the wall Smilie ). It's up on the wall and finishing all the connections.

Overall, a great price and experience dealing with Buydig. I has a 65" on the wall and this set seems huge in comparison.

I still haven't gotten the call. They are going to make me wait until the bitter end. I'm a little worried that it's going to be obscenely big.

I'm coming from a 70" LCD, so it wasn't a drastically noticeable difference on size.

A difference in picture quality? Holy ****!!

I've seen OLED TVs at the store, I've seen them at my friends' houses, but seeing it in my house, in the pitch black room, is something else entirely. This thing is bright, bright, BRIGHT and dark all at the same time. It's amazing looking and that's an understatement when compared to other TVs I've owned. This is all without even optimizing any settings...that's straight out of the box.

I will say, I was a bit scared when first powering it on as the vertical banding was unacceptably bad. I had VERY noticeable lines right in the middle of the screen...they were so bad I honestly thought I may have bent the screen somehow. Did a quick 10min pixel refresh and now have one of the cleanest panels I've seen.

I've played PS5 and PC games on it and they have all been super smooth. The extra level of detail the infinite contrast provides is insane.

I was hesitant to buy because of the negative discussions I read about OLED brightness in bright rooms. This is a very bright TV. I've got windows all around the TV and no issues what so ever.

Coming from a Samsung KS8000 with light bleed issues, this TV is amazing.

Running a pixel cleaning now after reading your post Smilie
