Ridgid has a lifetime service agreement.

A little different than a warranty.

To me, warranty is usually a replacement with a brand new item whereas service agreement is they will fix it. Now that I type it out it's almost the same thing but I've heard about Ridgid not being good about their agreement sometimes. Any thoughts?

I've got the Flex LED tower light and Stacked 6 Ah + Impact Driver kit and they are bright, powerful and awesome. The Impact Driver kit includes the 280 watt Rapid Charger and hard case thats EZ to repurpose as the inner liner comes out completely. Used a $25 Lowes oil card/rebate plus Retailmenot 8% plus 3% CC cash back to make the deal sweeter. Got them registered with the founders lifetime warranty.

IMO this circular saw deal posted is not SLICK enough.

This FLEX stuff is really nice, but I know some users, funny enough, find the 24V to be a bit too much power for some use cases. Personally, if I wasn't so deep into Milwaukee and Dewalt, I would've jumped into the platform. These tools are much nicer quality than Ridgid - they aren't a Lowe's house brand - Lowe's just got the exclusive agreement to sell them in the states. Their biggest problem is they've entered this market a bit later than they should've and going in exclusively at Lowes was a bad decision in my opinion. That said, their stuff is very good quality and they've been aggressive with their deals and warranty to increase market penetration. For me on of the nicest things to see from them is they've been very quick with expanding the line and the reviews have been pretty impressive for just about everything they've put out. I just don't think the Ridgid comparison is a fair one. Ridgid makes good tools, but I've had more issues with their stuff than any of the other big makers.

to your point:

"FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH is a German producer of power tools with headquarters in Steinheim. After producing flexible shaft grinders since 1922, FLEX invented the "Flex" or angle grinder in 1954. Wikipedia"

Noted.

Ridgid is sorta like around or above taskforce and Kobolt tools.

While Flex may once have been a "German producer" of power tools headquartered in Steinheim, the tools that Lowes sells with the Flex name are from the Chinese company Chervon who bought Flex a decade ago.

Here's the Flex website linked to by the wikipedia article quoted above: https://www.flex-tools.com/

Note that the Flex tools available from Lowes don't appear on the other Flex website.
