IMO it's useful for a small subset of traveling and/or gigging guitarists out there who specifically need access to the exact two types of sound that this guitar can do reasonably well. For any other sounds, there are much better and more affordable options out there for beginners.
If you want to learn acoustic, get an acoustic guitar. If you want to lean electric, then electric. If you want to learn both, then get both... not this thing.

Lol... It sounds like the current price is probably the "expected" pricepoint for something like this. I recently bought the Boroughs guitar and also picked up an Enya x4 Pro during pre-BF deals. I should have waited on the Boroughs as i could have saved another $20 though... I have a few boutique guitars as well (collings, goodall and bourgeois) but any "deal" on a guitar is ways tempting to jump on
