My current Kershaw with the speedsafe is having some issues. I may send it in for them to service as I don't see anything wrong upon some dis-assembly. Picked up a black on black to give a go while the Kershaw gets serviced. I have wanted to try a Kizer. We will see.

This is a fantastic knife for the money. I I have a pretty large collection of knives that range in value from $20 to $750. This is consistently one of my favorites to carry for general use. Great action, nice feeling materials, very pocketable size and non-aggressive looks. Warning: the copper version is considerably heavier.

Thanks! So are you saying you prefer the non copper due to weight? Just curious on your take and thanks!

Is this your preference or is there some kind of actual issue with Kizer coatings?
Kizer's coating is great, some folks (including me) just prefer no coating on stainless steels. You may definitely need coating on non-stainless steel, for example D2, due to bad corrosion resistance.

I try to avoid coating unless it is on non stainless.
