For anyone purchasing this, the 8940 was plagued with issues, which for me resulted in the mobo going bad just out of warranty. PSU didn't go bad surprisingly, but it's still non-standard and underpowered, but that didn't cause the mobo to take a crap.
Not trying to be a party pooper, just fair warning on the 8900 lines. The prior gen was a known ticking timebomb at the 1 year mark. I wouldn't be saying this if a quick search showed others experiencing the same problems.
- Mobo is Z690-based
- Mine had USB issues, all ports front+rear would die or peripherals would stutter (yes I did drivers, BIOS, etc.)
- CPU could only reach ~85% of standard 12700 benchmark per Cinebench R23, due to thermals
- Vetroo V5 is a good replacement CPU cooler, or you can try the Dell "premium" (tower style) CPU cooler for ~$80 on eBay. Those come standard on the K-model CPUs for 8950
