FYI: This tree and lights are licensed from Twinkly to/and made by Polygroup. While they mostly work the same with the app and effects, these won't work with Apple HomeKit, and the lights are not as heavy duty. Just something to keep in mind.

Serious question…I'm having a hard time understanding how 600 lights isn't enough when I put like two strands (50-100 traditional lights) and it looks fine all my life.

Are these Twinkly type lights very small or dim? Or is it more that the 600 isn't enough to get those cool effects to look good?

ps. I know multiple people have said what you said in other threads as well…I just decided to finally ask is all. 🙂

People aren't buying a Twinkly tree for rlthe realism. You're really missing the point here.

600 lights is okay. I have 600 in my 6.5 ft tree and it's barely acceptable. 1200 would be lovely. Lol

Anyone know what this tree feels like in quality and realism? I have 600 twinklies already so more concerned about getting a better quality tree to replace my $20 lowes tree from back in the day. Lol

Could always add lights to the tree like old school way? Maybe even strands of the Twinkly brand to match!

I believe the Costco tree has around 4800 tips so this one is not identical

I'd suggest adding a 600 string as well. 1200 is perfect for this size tree. 600 will still be impressive.

With regular lights, you aren't putting on a freaking light show with shapes and stuff. The more twinkly lights, the better the resolution of the images. Similar to how a 1080P TV is better than a 480P TV.

Totally makes sense now. These lights are for doing more then my "traditional" type lighting is meant to do.

So in my mind…Twinkly lights would be a great upgrade for me (as I love cool led chasing lights etc). But to really get the full "light show" affect some believe more lights are needed then the 600 or so for a 7' tree.

Thank you to those that helped me understand as it was puzzling me.
