Drunktaining
is the art of entertaining or being entertained while drunk. For example a drunk person may post when no one is around, and they have to drunktain themselves. That is sad and frustrating Crying

So, what exactly is a gayberry?

Quote from wiles :

It's a term or any kind of berry or fruit that a person would use to make a fruit smoothie to drink, instead of drinking beer, tequila, or vodka.
Some people even speak Gayberrolian.

Memtest86 shows everything's a'ok.

HDD is clean...no infections.

It happens in the windows setup after the restart. It's got me Scratchhead

Could it be malware disguised as fltmgr.sys?

I'm not doing a cd install...it's the actual files sitting on the desktop.

I know they're good because I used the same ones on my netbook.

Would doing a system restore fix the bad sectors? (write over them?)

Oh, in place upgrade of OS ?

Hmmm, sorry dude, have no idea.

Bad sectors would be on the drive itself. System Restore wouldn't identify them. Need to do a chkdsk or a full format to take care of them.

MB, just thought of something, you said the files are sitting on your desktop and you used the same ones on your netbook ? You would have had to copy them to the netbook right ?

Any chance files got borked while sitting on your desktop ? Or, did you copy them to your desktop from somewhere else ?

New partition, simply setting it up as a dual boot.

I copied the files from laptop TO the netbook...so the laptop has the originals. No chance of any corruption there.

Just for kicks, run a chkdsk /r on the partition.

chkdsk was good when I ran it last time.

I'm thinking maybe the hardware (mobo?) could be going bad? If it crashes at the exact same point every time...Dontknow
