Drunktaining
is the art of entertaining or being entertained while drunk. For example a drunk person may post when no one is around, and they have to drunktain themselves. That is sad and frustrating Crying

So, what exactly is a gayberry?

Quote from wiles :

It's a term or any kind of berry or fruit that a person would use to make a fruit smoothie to drink, instead of drinking beer, tequila, or vodka.
Some people even speak Gayberrolian.

I think that would make me nervous too.
J has already told me stories about the 16 yo nephew where he said he's on the mary jane. He even told his brother and his brother basically said he's not gonna deal with it. Lemme tell you if my 16 yo put a pan of oil on the stove to fry some munchies then decided to take a shower leaving the pan to start a grease fire burning most of the kitchen I'd have a little something to say like..."Here's your short leash, you are now glued to my hip."

I have no problem if your an adult. But if you're a child in my home it ain't gonna fly.

His brother has a parenting style that leaves A LOT to be desired. It's basically a free for all there.

Mini's in the living room with me and LJ. I ask where's your cousin? In my room playing with my cell phn. Ummmm no dear, your cell phn is not a source of entertainment for your cousin. I can only imagine what she was doing. Annoyed

It wouldn't be so bad but I'm a little concerned with a conversation she and Mini had last week when she invited herself over. She kept telling Mini "I'm high" Mini kept saying "don't say that!" Niece would giggle and say it again. Her inflection whe she said high made me think ummm she's been around it or someone that's doing it. At the end she giggled and said "I sing high like soprano". Yeah I wasn't laugh out louding on that one.

Yet here I am babysitting. I suppose it beats the alternative of staying home with her 16 yo bro. I'm just kinda pissed how it is now my problem.

I did a double-take for a minute there, because I know someone's son who did that... but he started college last year, so they can't be the same kid.

Yeah FS he's still in HS.

Wiles niece is 1e. It's not that she can't be home alone, she most likely just didn't want to be. Like the day before LJ's baptism when she invited herself over. A couple hours is fine but 6+ with no pick up time lined up is not. We were cooking for 30+ people the next day and getting last minute stuff done. She wanted to screw around with Mini who I needed to help with LJ. It was really bad timing.

To be honest with you IDK if her mom is even working today. Annoyed

From the way things read, she needs a positive input from somewhere, thrifteh.
Maybe, look at it as you are helping a kid more than someone who needs babysitting... Unsure

Kids like rules and stability, even tho they say otherwise, so your structure may help her more than you know. And she sounds as if she is at a very critical time in her life when things can turn very wrong for her depending on what path she chooses. You may be helping her more than you even know.

It just doesn't sound like home life is ideal and it could be that she wants to be in a more stable environment. Maybe you and your home provide that for her...
