Don't get into vinyl for sound quality. Between surface noise, static, poor pressings, etc, it's a losing battle. I dabble in vinyl for nostalgia and the physical connection you have with the music.
Btw...vwestlife (or something like that) on YouTube did a test trying to prove how much downforce would damage a record. It was an insane amount.
Have never purchased from PopMarket, but looked up reviews and it seems legit other than people complaining about pre-order items being oversold. Also customer service is lacking apparently.
I had bought this same turntable a month ago for $130 from the Focus Camera deal. Only one side of the RCA out would play on my stereo so I had to return it. Couldn't find it cheaper than $160 until OP posted this deal.
Hopefully I'll get a unit that's in good working order this time. For $90 after tax, it's a no-brainer.
BTW, the sound from the one side was excellent. The turntable has a very good stylus included and is upgradable if you want to buy a better one at some point. Lots of great reviews on the AT-LP3BK if you don't need Bluetooth but want fully automatic start/stop with built in pre-amp, etc. Honestly don't think you can get a better TT at this price or maybe even the $130 I had originally paid.

Thanks for the feedback. I bought an LP60BKBT from Amazon for $179, then found the LP3BK for $169 and ordered it. Both of those are going back once I get this one and get it set up. I decided I really wouldn't use the Bluetooth feature.
I do not have the LP3 but did a little research on its features. This seems like a great starter player and has the ability to be properly set up and the cartridge can be replaced. I'd recommend this over the LP60 anyday.
Popmarket is legit and this is a great price on a good turntable. I got it for 150 and would buy again. I almost want to get a second one at this price.
As much as I want to buy this, I can't because it will remind me of my collection I gave away about 30 years ago that would be worth thousands. Do albums have better sound? Yes due to lower access to Hz, but no.
You have to adjust the tonearm, and counterweight, meaning it takes more time to set up vs the 60 which is pretty much a 'plug and play'. but the LP3 has a removeable cartridge allowing for more upgrades down the road.

You don't want plug and play for a turntable. It's not a CD player. You want to be able to do tonearm adjustments.
