Superstart and other AGM batteries usually are better. They can last five years or more.

Don't buy if you don't need it right now. I bought last time when the same coupon was available but I replaced my car battery only after one year of purchase. But the warranty is on the date of purchase not on the date you install. I would suggest not to buy in the anticipation of your battery would die in next few months

Yep, that plus losing ~$20 for the core charge. If you don't have a battery to swap, the price normally jumps — Sam's isn't clear here, but I've never seen a battery price advertised that didn't net out the core charge. So if you're just stocking up, it will likely be more.

Unfortunately car batteries are one of the few things where it rarely makes sense to stock up. And in our car, when a moden battery dies, it's usually right after the warranty ends, and it's pretty catastrophic (not a slow crank, just dead). Those USB jump boxes are worth their weight in gold for any long trips.

Bought a Duracell battery at Sam's in 2019 for our car. It died this year, it was a pretty good run now that I think about it.

Walmart has their Everstart brand (made by Johnson Controls) for $60. They last me around 3 years with the harsh winters here.

I stopped buying the brand name lead acid batteries, they're all made by 3 major companies in the USA. Autozone/O'Riley's want more than double for the same battery size/CCA Walmart sells - it makes no sense.

Do not choose the cheapest car battery, not worth it.
