Probably because it's not cost effective if don't go to the movies that often.

Since AMX A-List has 3 month commitment, one can purchase A-List membership near the end of May or beginning of Just for 5 - 6 months for the summer "blockbusters" and then cancel. And do this every year. Nothing much happens the other 6 months of the year, maybe 2 - 4 good movies, depending on your taste.

After placing my first order with Costco Citi cc, I got an order cancelled email a few hours later. The cancellation email cited issues with the payment method billing info or authorization which I found weird. Then I placed a second order with a different credit card, but only got my gift card email earlier this morning (12 hrs later).

This is exactly why I didn't buy this deal. They keep doing this, and I've no idea why. Not going to buy gift card deals from Costco until they figure out WTF is going on.

I ordered this last night just 30mins before deal ended, used costco citi visa. Successfully got the GC codes this morning. Now plan to use for avatar imax tickets!
