The rear interface is a little clunky but even the OEM Nikon flashes are like memory puzzles to find the right settings. Well worth it for the budding photographer. Get a few though IMO if you want to do the creative stuff.

If you google - kenro standard speedflash manual - it'll bring up a pretty good copy of a manual for what seem to be a near identical flash and page 28 / 29 might walk you through how to setup the flash. The camera you might be on your own since they can all be different.

I'll check out the manual you mentioned above. Definitely has some info I haven't tried yet.
