I have the 128G and it has "read only" error after filling up half of the drive. Because of that, I can't delete any personal data for RMA. I bought a Samsung Fit and so far no issue.

I second the Samsung fit. The SanDisk Extreme are the only SanDisk I know of that aren't crap. This one is great as a gift... For someone you don't like. It literally takes several hours to copy enough files to fill this drive. I get 10MB/s about 30 seconds into a file transfer. the first 30 seconds of not-ovrrheating is long enough to fool most speed test utilities.

I would get this except many reviews indicate the 256gb drives get very hot and sometimes break or stop completely.

I tested one on a month long work trip as external storage for a Series S. It worked great for Xbox One/360 game storage. Really inexpensive way to expand that console.

I now use it for movies to play on my Series X in the living room.
