I made a mistake of buying the Firestone Lifetime Alignment twice (one per each vehicle of two my vehicles) and per my experience, few years back it was used to be one Alignment for every 6 months or so but looks like it's been changed to one per a year now.

secondly as soon as they knew that you have already paid for the Lifetime Alignment, either they give you very poor service or they simply pretend to be performed the work even though they never performed or some times they tell you that they have completly booked up for few days and no appointments are avilable.
I never received a satisfactory serice and right after they performed the Alignment and when I took my car to the other sevice center they have confirmed that work have never been done.

May be your local Firestone could be better but around here, I never been happy and finally simply stopped going to the Firestone. So it's a huge YMMV.

I'll counter the negative reviews. I have a lifetime alignment on my street/track miata, every couple years I take it in, I give them the alignment specs I want and they do their best to meet them. They don't hit the specs 100% dead on, but they get very close and that's good enough for me. I toss them a $10 or $20 tip if I happen to see the mechanic pull the car out of the shop, otherwise it's all paid for by the lifetime alignment I bought like 10 years ago.

I'm sure it varies based on which shop you go to, but my local shop has been fine.

I had a very bad experience with Firestone way back in 2001, I never went back. Glad to see they haven't changed their ways. Once a deceptive company, always a deceptive company - it becomes part of their corporate DNA.

I found it depends on the store manager/sales person. One store I used to go to would include a printout of the pre- and post- alignment results. My current store doesn't do that, so I don't know if they actually did it or not. As for the lifetime alignment discount, I agree it's YMMV. Wheel alignment does help, so how good this "deal" is depends on your options available...and how many years you usually keep your car.

So do you have to go in store to redeem this or can you just call and say you want the life time alignment?

Thanks for the reminder to buy this! Firestone does this sale every year on New Year's Day, FYI.

Call your local store and see if you can buy it over the phone. In my previous experience and for my local shop, they required me to come in to purchase.

Good info, and I was wondering if they also use the alignment special to get you in the door annually to tell you you need suspension and other repairs that you don't really need? I've read in auto forums how some auto-repair chains do this.

Also good info. Probably best for people who are considering buying this alignment deal to first check the Google reviews of their local Firestone to see if they have a reputation for being honest with good service. If not, I'd skip buying this deal.

THANK YOU OP, Appreciate the Heads Up.

Going To Tell My Brother In Law, Who Just Bought A Brand New Car.

Indeed, YMMV, Every Firestone Could Be Different.

I Been a Firestone Customer Since 1987, Never Had A Problem.

I'm 55, And It Was My First Credit Card, (Still Have It), It's The Only Place I Take

My Cars, And The Only Place I Trust. For Oil Changes, Brakes, Alignments,

Routine Maintenance. Tires Are A Different Story. I Buy Them Elsewhere.

I'm A Retired United States Marine Corps Veteran, Did 22 Years, Every Car I

Owned, They are My Go To Place to Keep My Cars Running Tip Top Shape.

Was Stationed in probably 5-6 Different States, and Every Firestone Took Care

of Me.

Matter Of Fact, When My 2 Children Went Off to College, in Different States.

They both Were On my Account, Both of there Cars were Taken Care of, With

Oil Changes, Alignments, Etc.

36 Years, Probably 14 Cars, Have Been Maintained, Never Had A Problem.

I Buy The Lifetime Alignment, Every Time, I Buy A New Car, It Pays For Itself.

With Peace Of Mind, And It's An Investment, You Spend Tens of Thousands Of

Dollars, On A Vehicle. You Need To Maintain It. Every Time, I Get A New Set Of

Tires, And once A Year, My Cars Are in For an Alignment.

I Bought The Last Lifetime Alignment in 2020, When I Bought A New 2020

Honda Accord, And Plan to Keep that till the Wheels Fall Off……..Lol

It Cost $120 In 2020, But With Inflation, Every Thing Is Going Up.

YMMV, But Just My 2 Cents, To Everyone that's on the Fence, About

Purchasing The Lifetime Alignment. I TRUST THEM And My Kids TRUST THEM
