If you don't mind, can you explain what that means and why it's not good? Appreciate it, and Happy New Year! 😃

Laptop gpus aren't just a 3060 or 3070 like desktops, they're not all equal. Usually there is a lower TDP and a higher TDP meaning one uses less power or more power. This will either give you a weaker gpu or a stronger one. This was mentioned to be a lower TDP so this could also mean that the laptop doesn't have as good cooling solution and you will get lower fps in games. They can range anywhere from 70 to around 140 TDP. Hope that helps.

I have another MSI GF thin model and the hinges on it are a real weak point. If you get this just be aware to be extra careful with it.

Not cheapest at all.
Nitro 5 with 3060 was available for $600 with 11th gen processor. Then it has been available for $649 and $699 as well.

Not only does this have a low wattage 3060 but it also has a 10th Gen processor.

I'm struggling on if I should pick this up or not. I'm in need of a new laptop ASAP and I'm on a tight budget. I've been trying to get it as close to $600 as possible. I was thinking this or the Acer Swift X, but that only has a 3050ti.

I think at this wattage the performance would be comparable

I have this, but with and i7. Bought it last January and I haven't had any issues. I have an Acer Nitro as a work laptop and they feel like the same sort of build quality....Parts are decent and other parts feel like cheap 'snap-together' plastic. If you're not throwing it around, I'm sure it will hold up just fine.

TDP = thermal design power. If a 3060 ranges up to about 140 watts, limiting to 70 watts will significantly reduce performance, but allows for a thinner laptop with smaller cooling solutions and better battery. It may still outperform a 3050 limited to the same power.

TDP stands for Thermal Design Power, in watts, and refers to the power consumption under the maximum theoretical load. Power consumption is less than TDP under lower loads. The TDP is the maximum power that one should be designing the system for.
