The card is not at fault. This card is not designed for constant writing applications like dashcams. You should have used an endurance card.

Does Amazon still have problems with fake cards? I haven't bought one in a while from there but I remember it was a very common issue. Has it changed?

Yeah, you bring up a good point – I am going to order four for eventual use, so I should test them out right after getting them instead of sitting them on the shelf for a couple months and eventually using them.

The ones for dashcams use are pro endurance versions if I remember correctly. Newer ones are white color and have faster transfer speeds than older black and white ones.

My dash cam has a limit of 128gb memory, so this fit the bill. I did however purchase the 256gb too for my Mac mini.
