It has been proven Biotin (B7) deficiency causes thin hair, brittle nails, along with other skin issues and Biotin supplement helps raise the level which in turn will ease those symptoms. However, not all brittle nails and thin hair are caused by lack of Biotin since there are a number of other causes such as Thyroid deficiency. For people who find Biotin supplement works, they should probably go see a doctor and get their level checked and continue taking Biotin with the correct dosage. There are people who have to take lifetime Biotin supplement due to a genetic condition which causes constant low free Biotin level in the blood. For people who find Biotin supplements don't work, they probably have other conditions that cause their hair and nail problems which again, there are a number of reasons. Yes, there are no independent scientific studies to prove that a biotin supplement will absolutely improve your hair and nail because thin hair and brittle nail have such a wide differential diagnoses, doing a study like this would be time wasting with minimal benefit.
Thus, the word you're looking for is "inconclusive" not "won't do crap" because there is a time and place for these supplements. Please consider things with different aspects before you make such a strong, false, and uneducated statement.

Please read a bit carefully, I said "there are NO independent scientific studies to prove that a biotin supplement will absolutely improve your hair and nails..." Because I agree with you that no study shows that taking these supplement blindly would improve your hair, skin, and nails. It only works if your hair, skin, nail problems are caused by Biotin deficiency.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK547751/
This is a NCBI accredited article talking about Biotin deficiency and treatment guidelines. NCBI Stat Pearl is a credible website most clinicians use to look up treatment plans when they encounter diseases and conditions that they're not familiar with.

I'm not here to win any internet argument. I'm simply here to let people understand the reasoning better because your negative comment could potentially mislead a person who actually misses a good deal on supplements they actually need because too many people believe what the "internet" says these days and it's extremely frustrating to medical clinicians. Generally speaking, there are a number of insurance companies do not pay for supplements. So while you might not have a problem paying 15 bucks for these, some people may only be able to spend 5 bucks on medicine and save the 10 for food.
Your opinion matters but it most likely only matters when you are trying to argue for your own case, it does not matter to other people who are here looking for good deals on something they actually need.

Keep arguing with you is pointless because you have no point to stand on but there's one more thing to correct. If you read the link, you should know that Biotin deficiency can be caused by a number of reasons such as long term alcohol use, inborn enzymatic conditions, certain antibiotic use, certain seizure medication use, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), IBS, intestinal mucosal problems, malnutrition, eating disorder, fat metabolism disorders. With all these reasons combined you get a good number of people whose doctor's advice would be to take Biotin supplement. Thus, they can benefit from this post and they will probably benefit from this post even more when there's no one in the comments saying Biotin "won't do crap".
Medicine requires precision, can't just ball park everything because "most people are okay", because if you measure every single disease out there with "most people" then there are not going to be many people left. Consider yourself lucky that you don't have certain diseases or conditions but it's not fair to over generalize everyone based on "most people are okay".

Please, for the love of bejesus, stay away from gummy supplements. The bioavailability is so low compared to the soild pill form.

Gummies are just glorified candy with additional benefits. They're ment to taste good first then work second. If you're looking for full potentcy, I don't see the point of gimping yourself with a gummy.

That being said, the pill and powdered form are very good.

If they need vitamins that severely, they should seek medical advice from their doctor, not a slickdeals post. 🤣

But this thing is yummy, yummy candy improves emotional health, and that's more important.

I see the coupon too, but the OP's deal is still much better w/ 160ct for $4.50 vs 200ct for $14.47 pre tax for me. It is $11.44 with S&S, but still not nearly as good unless delivery is worth that much to you vs in store pickup.

I personally don't want to drive to Walgreens. If that's a better option for you, then glad it works!

"Most People", is that 30% 40% or 50%? Is there a study done regarding it? Also, healthy diet? Have u been in a grocery store recently? Healthier options are way expensive than cheaper ones unless U cook ur own food or someone else does it for u. MVIs are good but as wise wisdom says, too much of anything is bad. I am a health care professional and I think I consider myself a credible source but I am not a nutritionist. I would say this from my personal experience for myself and people I am around, our diet is OK but could be healthier. So, I take MVI to hopefully supplement it if for some reason I am not getting enough of some gazillion vitamins and nutrients that experts recommend in a daily diet. Don't take it personally, u have a real good valid point but please don't bash other person point of view 😊.

I have taken these in the past and can assure you they do make your nails and hair grow faster and make your nails harder and hair shinier. They may have also made my skin look more glowing, but that is hard to say. Not sure about medical studies, but I could definitely tell they worked.

Then the question is, would you rather someone eat a gummy and get some benefit, or not take a pill and get 0 benefit?

I used to take these until I read the studies like others. But what really got me to stop is the fact that these contain 8,333% (comma not dot) of your recommended daily allowance of biotin. There are also other bottles that have more.

I think missmaggie's deal is similar because it has much more biotin per serving (6000 mcg vs 2500 mcg). So that equals to about 400 ct. I get $13.33 S&S, but if you get $11.44, that's much better deal.
