I bought this for like $70 (paid like $8 for 2 year warranty) on a slickdeal almost a year ago and thought it was a good deal. Overall it's good. I'm not picky about my espresso so it's way better than paying $8 for a Starbucks Mocha every day. I have a process setup where I start the milk in frother, squirt costco "organic" hershey chocolate right into frother so it mixes for me, run 2 pods through espresso machine. Frother & 2 pods of espresso finish at the same time. Dump frothed chocolate milk and espresso into my 20oz Yeti tumbler mug and it costs me >$0.50 (considering pod cost, milk, chocolate, depreciate machine over a year) for this double mocha made at home. Takes about 5 minutes in total to hand wash mug the espresso goes into, clean frother, run double shot of just water to clean machine into 2nd mug then clean that mug, dump out water from espresso container.
I've tried nespresso pods, Pete's and a few others, but currently I use the Amazon basic pods which u can get on sale for $13 for 50 pods plus 20% off if you spend $50, so I get 200 pods at a time for $43.

Just saw this on Best Buy and thought about posting the deal, but you beat me to the punch 😄.

Might jump on this deal. Checked on Amazon and they do sell reusable pods for the original nespresso that this Bella is compatible with. Wonder how well those work.

Reusable Nespresso pods aren't that good. You Better Stick to Nespresso pods or compatible ones like Lavazza or peets.

Hi care to elaborate why the unusable pods aren't good? Not trying to argue just a genuine question thanks

Recently got a CitiZ for home use and thinking this might be good to keep in my office. Anyone have experience with this machine?

Lavazza pods are made out of plastic unless they changed them recently. Taste like plastic coffee just like keurig

My office is where I would like to have this thing as well but it might be suitable for home usage too. Cheap enough to try pod espresso before committing to a few hundred $ machine.

I use a brand called bluecup, it works great but you need a good grinder or should use quality espresso ground coffee. The trick is the consistency of the grounds and using a tad bigger grinds than a normal quality espresso machine.
However I think it is a hassle and if you don't drink too much coffee, you should stick with pods.

Thanks for this. I figured OL capsules are < $.50 each which is probably less than the hassle/cost of filling them myself.

This seems to use the original line pods which are much cheaper than the newer ones. Also the original line is manufactured by different vendors and not a monopoly by Nespresso. This is a good deal to upgrade my office setup from a Keurig.

It requires a lot of learning to get the right amount of coffee in the pods, and you must be very careful of how much you compact the grounded coffee. In addition, you need to ground the coffee to a specific size. I have tried for so long to like reusable Nespresso pods, but I still don't like them. Coffee is way too weak vs. nonreusable pods. Also, you need to kept buying aluminum stickers to seal them. In order of quality for nonreusable: Nespresso, L'OR, Starbucks, Lavazza (plastics), Peet's. Alternatively, you can get Cafe Quindio biodegradable pods that are very good.

Just keep in mind this will not brew coffee, just espresso.
