No $1200 price tag. Unpass.
16.0-inch, WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 16:10 aspect ratio, IPS-level Panel, LED Backlit, 60Hz refresh rate, 300nits, 45% NTSC color gamut, Anti-glare display, Non-touch screen, (Screen-to-body ratio)86%

ASUS also states "8GB DDR4 on board" and according to a teardown I've seen on youtube, there's a RAM slot open
Not sure I'd agree with that...it's not all THAT new and you would only have to upgrade if you have a need for USB devices running at those speeds. To your average joe I'm not sure how much TB support really matters, even in 2 yrs. Just my opinion

According to the Amazon listing it has 8GB DDR4 3200 onboard RAM and 1 memory slot available that supports up to 8GB 3200.

Tempting. I really want my next laptop to have a 16:10 or 3:2 aspect ratio.

It's the newest USB tech that may force you to upgrade in 1-2 years.

It's not the newest USB tech. Ryzen 5000 series does not support USB 4.0. USB 4 is pretty much equivalent to TB3.

The HP Elitebook 16 for $550 for EPP accounts is a lot better deal.

All these 45% NTSC screens are obnoxious. Can they really be that much cheaper to make?
