I bought a few of these last week at this same price. Actually very nice lights. Yes, lightweight base and neck and the 40 min timer is random. But the light is nice and appropriately bright for the lamp's size. Dimmable brightness is controlled by holding finger on the power button, and I'll bet many didn't know this when submitting poor reviews. Three light color choices, warm (like 2800), medium (like 4000), and cool (like 5500). The spreadable wings really make a nice gentle light effect. And my wife, who is super sensitive to LED light flicker, immediately said, "nice light, that would be perfect for knitting or sewing." So, wife approved. No comment on the reviews stating that they die early.
