I specifically posted low end specs with a powerful processor, since these are not laptops and can be upgraded to your liking for cheaper. There are plenty of options with 16 and even 32 gigs there for reasonable prices
Not bad at all and not needing additional parts like a nuc...tempted for Plex server
Btw, for those who didn't read the original thread, I was able to order with 10% cash back offer from PayPal, which is live till 07 or 10 of January

Was looking for something to replace the nearly eight-year old HP Prodesk (with a core i3) that I use for a variety of purposes - this deal plus the 10% PayPal cash back rocks. Used EPP account. Thanks, OP!

Well, this pic https://www.servethehome.com/wp-c...-Stock.jpg clearly shows that there is a way to add discrete low profile video card. Am I wrong? This will be my first HP Mini, but my experience with Thinkstations makes me believe expansion might be possible
From the picture, this unit has dGPU. The video ports (3 mini DP and 1 micro HDMI) from upper right are from dGPU. The 800 series does have an option with dGPU, but I am not sure about 600 series. dGPU unit only works with i7/i5/i3 and not work with i9.

The port under the little lock picture in the middle can be extra DP, HDMI, USBc, USBc thunderbolt, fiber optic NIC...

I did have previous gen (G8) with thunderbolt port and used with external GPU. I also had G8 unit with dGPU.

Based on data sheets, the 600 series do not have any dGPU option, while the 800 series do (RTX 3050 Ti 4GB). The chassis seem to be the same though (based on dimensions and images).

Can you say more about how to get the 2.5GBe port? Can't seem to find it.
These have what HP calls a Flex IO port. It can be just about whatever you want it to be. One of the options is a 2.5GB Intel NIC. I have the 10th gen version of this machine. The part I bought was HP M74416-001. Simple install and works like a champ. Would likely replace the HDMI port in this configuration.

https://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/get...015287.pdf

Optional Ports: Flex IO port 2 – choose one of the following options: 2 USB 2.0 Type-A 480Mbps signaling rate, 1 serial, 1 second external antenna port; Flex IO port 1 – choose one of the following options: 1 VGA, 1 DisplayPortTM 1.4, 1 HDMI 2.1, 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (100W Power Intake, Alt Mode DisplayPortTM), 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate, HP Fiber NIC Port (1Gbps), Intel® I225- LM 2.5 Gigabit Network Connection LOM, 1 ThunderboltTM 3 with USB 4.0, 1 serial

Sorry if this was already mentioned... if you have access to the HP "Employee Purchase Program" through your employer, you can also get this pricing.

I don't see the offer for 10% cash back in my PayPal account. I saw an offer for 5% but wasn't able to add/save the offer, it's the click on the link type of thing. Perhaps it's only for selected accounts?

Hey, a few tech specs docs were posted here before - you can take a look and see for yourself what parts you would need. I also ordered 800 series bad boy and am just waiting to receive it soon before ordering upgrades.

I'm pretty sure that you will be able to easily install an NVME drive
