Also, $15 off only works if you bring your own device.
Really tried to stick with Visible but their 4g and 5g is truly horrible

I was told from the chat rep that not even a supervisor could help me. LOL.
I would activate the phone on a SIM / eSIM and don't touch anything regarding SIM / eSIM or Service for 60 days and it happens automatically via the system.

I will activate it once I receive the phone. But I wont be able to keep the phone in US for the full promo period( 3months) as I want to gift this to a relative in India.
I can keep the SIM here in US and keep the plan going.
1) Will the phone unlock automatically on the 60th day even though the phone is not in US ?
2) Will this affect the promos ?
Any pointers would be appreciated. TIA.

To have the phone unlock, it will need access to the network so that it can receive the signal to the phone. If the phone has no service and/or isn't connected, it can't receive the unlock from Apple.
Promos are a bit easier. They are not tied necessarily to a SIM but rather the account. If you make 3 payments you'll get the promos. (Or should anyways). I've seen it kick in a couple of days after the 3rd payment but these are easier to escalate / get via customer support if needed.

I have done same thing for iPhone 13 & phone is still locked with visible & paper weight in India.
Steps to follow from my personal experience.
1. Buy a iPhone 14 from visible
2. Active eSIM and use it on same iPhone 14 for 62 days at least
3. Go to settings and check carrier lock status, it should say NO SIM Restrictions
4. Once you make sure phone is unlocked as NO SIM Restrictions
5. You're free to send this iPhone 14 to India & it will work with any network (Jio, Airtel & etc…)
6. You still have to meet 90 day requirements to get your gift card & AirPods
7. Keep visible service active in any other phone here in US till you get your free stuff.
Hope this helps.
Please don't do same mistake I have done for iPhone 13.
Going by the track record of visible, where it is difficult to get even a fair promo, I wonder how difficult it'd be for people to get all the promos.
People have found work around the system which disables promo stacking but we'd come to know only after 60 days I gues s :- )
Airpods, $200 GC, Save $15/month
I'll be porting my Boost number during activation.
But after 3 months, if Airpods or $200, is denied by Visible, since I also used $15 off/month, which Visible may claim is a disqualifier, then I'm thinking to change/activate on regular $30 month plan. My thinking is its better to pay $15 x 3 months extra, rather than lose over $400 denial of Airpods and $200 GC.
Is there any way for Visible CS thru chat/phone support to delete the $15/month promo to start 1st month's service on only the $30/month plan ?
And what Boost Mobile Port-out info would I need like Acct Number, PIN, etc for a smooth port-in to Visible e-sim ?
Any info/advice would be appreciated before I start the activation process.
Thanks
My question is can chat agents just DOWNGRADE my monthly plan to the $30/month, without any promo rate of $15/month, so pay full monthly $30/month, not save $15/month. I would rather pay $45 extra for 3 months and get the Airpods/GC, without risk.
How long was your wait time to speak with a chat agent ?
Thank you

What would be the cheapest sim/service to get to port in?
