I think what happened was I was on the final order page, but realized I had not clicked the 10% off code "apply" (it all happened fast). So I backed out to do that. And I must have then accidentally ordered the wrong tv.
shoot! it's a 1.5 hr drive too, but easily within driving pickup distance today. what a deal that would have been. On pretty much the EXACT TV and size I want (that or the Hisense 75UH8, sister TV's). About $1000 off street price, not some inflated msrp...

i dont understand why they price so low, maybe "clearance" But even at like $900-$1100 the 75" seemingly would sell very fast
If (and that's a BIG if) they ever get it back in stock at the store, they will NOT honor the price you paid online or transfer your online order for store pickup. This has happened to me twice now over the past couple of years. Very frustrating.
In regards to the TV, I just bought it on Amazon last week when it was $1249 but have already returned it. The black levels are raised to point it's extremely distracting in a moderately dark room (see Stop the FOMO video on YouTube for example). If you have a bright room, you'll likely never notice and will love its bright/colorful picture. Great for gaming, too.

8 weeks came around and the date got pushed back another 4 weeks. Those 4 weeks came and went, and it got pushed back another 3-5 weeks. When I called the online representative, they said they were having issues fulfilling orders and have not been able to fulfill the orders placed. They assured me I would receive my item once they received it to send.
In the meant time, I had been to the local DFW store twice in that amount of time and one of those times they had my TV in stock. I talked to the manager there and he was even nice enough to conference in a supervisor from online sales to try and work something out. In the end, however, they were never able to transfer my online order to the store and he would not honor the price I paid online to let me leave the store with the TV I had already paid for over 4 months prior.
It ended up being over 6 months that they kept my money and I never received the TV I paid for. When I called the last time, they gladly cancelled my order and refunded my money without any issues. Like I said, nice and police...just frustrating.
Bottom Line: Unless you have this TV currently in your home, delivered for this price, I would not pass up any other good sales for this TV from other reputable companies. Same goes for other TVs you may have had your eye on. You very well could end up waiting months and miss out completely like I did.
