Do "granite cleaners" actually do anything different from your basic all purpose degreaser/cleaner (409, Lysol, etc)? I have granite counter tops and if this actually is an upgrade, I'll buy it.

There's pastes that exist for this issue. You apply it on the ring or the stained spot & leave it for a while. Like 24 hours or something like that, & it pulls the moisture out of the granite & clears the stain. With that being said, out of maybe 10 times I used it, it worked perfectly like twice. The other six times the stain became faint so it sort of worked but it was definitely noticeably & the other two times it didn't do a damn thing lol Hope this helps!

Anybody know if there is anything to fix granite that a husband left his mcdonalds cup of coke that seeped through and ate a ring into the granite finish?

Asking for a friend.

no and that's the problem with granite. once it stains like that you are stuck with discolored granite! fyi "my friend" did the same thing with a candle base once. the outer edges stained their granite horribly.

Using the spray version of this and it is pretty good. Of course, wipes are always going to be much more expensive for the convince. I like it in that I know it is designed for stone countertops. I have quarts, which is probably less problematic then granite in care but I try to avoid cleaning agents that might damage it. This got high rating, is a little less expensive then other products and does a good job. It has a light scent that goes away after a few minutes. I'd say that the consistency of the product is a little thicker then water so it takes some extra time to wipe up with a dry rag. Not a big issue though.

I think it's shinier than using Lysol. I use Lysol wipes for every day cleaning but use granite cleaner when we have company

The spray is more of a shiner - but it actually does do a better job that just regular spray. It's not really a 'cleaner' for me, its more of a polish. But it does definitely look shinier,

Try Tub O Towels. They are amazing at cleaning up hard to remove stains:

It's the price we pay for living in paradise! Only other places like it are in China, Russia, Cuba, etc.

supposedly basic cleaners are too harsh for stone and can damage it - i use a dedicated stone cleaner / sealant / polish system but wouldnt buy these wipes as the stone cleaner + paper towel or microfiber is cheaper
