Distance between slats is 4.25" to 4.5". Most of the mattress makers recommend not more than 3". This could potentially void your mattress warranty. Ikea slats are little less than 3".

Most of the memory foam mattress will go for a toss with this bed in a few months. Buying this is a deal for the manufacturer.

I had this frame (or at least one very similar to it) and it was the worst bed frame I've ever owned. It's a million pieces so it takes a long time to put together and take apart, and its the least sturdy frame I've owned. It creaks with the smallest movement.

I recently tossed it and replaced it with a Thuma bed frame which is amazing. Granted its on another level as far as cost goes, and I don't expect everyone to get it, but I would definitely avoid getting this one.

You do get what you pay for when it comes to bed frames.

Like in most things, the answer is probably "it depends". For example if you had a particularly soft memory foam mattress you might have issues, but it looks like there are enough support slats to hold a mattress without issue.

I can see myself hopping in this bed and breaking a few planks. Best to get a small metal frame to put on top or in place instead of the planks.

Looks like a decent deal but the way it looks I'm assuming the legs are plastic and rails probably made from plastic and it doesn't look like it will support much weight. Maybe for a single person or 2 140lb people
