This vacuum is actually pretty good, at least in my opinion. I got one from direct tools this past November for like $42, and does a really good job. Much easier grabbing this one than a much larger shop vac (which still has its purpose!). Direct tools has it on sale today for $48, even with their $14 shipping, it's still cheaper - even better if you going to buy multiple items from them.

I second this. So much easier to grab this than a full sized shop vac especially when you're trying to quickly vacuum up debris.

Thanks! How close is this cute little ship back in power and suction compared to an AC-powered full size shop vac?

I'm with you. I hate digging out my full size shop vac and lugging it around. Would love to get rid of it for this little "suitcase" version. But only if it's powerful enough.

Still can not compare to corded full size shop vac in term of power. And the suction power diminishes with battery power. So I often need to change battery in between job. However, the key is portability. It's really convenient and good size that fit anywhere with ease. The suction is enough to clean up job area. And I use this to vacuum car carpets which usually needs quite a bit of suction power.

Factory blemished and sometimes risks poor shipping, also if it doesn't work for some reason it will be horrible to send it back.

I would rather pay an extra $15 get it today and brand new

I don't disagree with the hassle if something needed to be resolved - however, mine was factory blemished - still sealed in the box and was brand new and arrived rather quickly.

I've also heard that DTO has had issues in the past with shipping, as there are alot of companies that have experienced shipping issues over the past few years. I have placed several orders with DTO over the past year or so and have had fairly good service.

I presume those are refurbs, if they're from that vendor.

My dad has one, and not only does it suck, but it blows! And it does both pretty well for a battery powered vacuum.

That is good to hear I see some posts on reddit like this [reddit.com]which makes me a bit skeptical. I bet this one was factory refurb. I am happy you got a good experience.

I got this vacuum a few days ago and I used it for 15 minutes with a 4ah battery on 3 battery ticks charged and by the time I was done, it was down to 1 battery tick. I'd like to find some attachments that will make cleaning out the car easier.

I have one. It works OK but it's really, really loud.
I bought an M12 after using it for a while and its much quieter.

I've been eyeing this, and have nearly purchased it a few times. But the only thing holding me back is if I can use this for sawdust extraction from my various saws. How versatile is the hose and/or hose connections for use for something like connecting this to miter and table saws?

"Factory Blemished" really means "Brand New". Now DTO's reconditioned tools are incredibly hit-or-miss. I've had great luck, but a couple duds where it looked like contractors used the tool on a job site for a year, throwing it around, dropping it, and then returning it back to Home Depot in a Rebuy/Return swap to get a new tool.
