I got a defective one where the hello and goodbye were reversed. So when you are coming into the house it says goodbye and when you are leaving it says hello

They should have also marked Welcome/Unwelcome the other one. In some cases you need to give people a hint if they're not getting it.

I hate this style of doormat. All the outdoor debris like leaves and dead grass etc gets caught up in the mat and it's impossible to just shake it out and can't vacuum.

Folks, keep in mind these are really small door mat. It's 18 in x 30 in. I usually get the 22 inch by 36-in at my local Ross or Marshalls for $18.
