Dell Refurbished currently offers a $150 coupon off $349 and above JAN23DEAL2. Currently the unit (dell-latitude-5491-000037) goes for $369 with Free Shipping. So $369-$150 =$219 + Taxes.
https://www.dellrefurbished.com/i...&template=

The previous 2 deals has 1366x768 display which was a deal breaker for me but this one is $20 more with 1080p so I pulled the trigger.

Forgot to mention that this laptop has a touchscreen.
EDIT: From the comments below, there's no way to tell for sure. Assume no touchscreen for now.

This unit also has a Nvidia GeForce MX130 for the HDMI 2.0 port only. The LCD is hooked exclusively to onboard graphics UHD630.
EDIT: Assume no Nvidia graphics for now given the comments below. The config guide might be misleading.

According to UserBenchmark, the MX130 is roughly twice as fast as UHD630
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Com...1vsm356797

Latitude 5491 supports Linux (Ubuntu) as well
https://www.dell.com/support/home...491-laptop

The i5-8400H config supports vPro(page 13)/AMT(page 14), which is a useful feature if you need to remote control the laptop at BIOS level to troubleshoot the PC for your parents.
https://dl.dell.com/topicspdf/lat..._en-us.pdf
EDIT: Sorry about this as well. I received the laptop and the BIOS doesn't have MBEX (Ctrl+P)

The coupon does not limit what you buy as long as it's $349 or above. I think the 5491 is a sweet spot if you want to maximize the percentage discount and biggest bang for the buck in terms of performance. I bought it as a desktop/Mini-PC replacement. Also I don't think the site allows you to stack coupons

EDIT: For those who missed the deal (because they dropped the price to $329, below the $349 required for the $150 coupon, use the $100 coupon JAN5491DEAL instead. It'll come out to $229 which is $10 more than this deal)

Where does this indicate a touchscreen?
Also not seeing anything indicating it includes the NVIDIA gpu.

I see that the model says it "could" have it but nothing on the page say it... I'm wondering the same as you. Anyone know?

I was about to pull the trigger on this, and noticed the touchscreen isn't actually indicated anywhere. Reviews seem to imply that the 1080 screen option can come with or without touch on this model, so...

After clicking the link, I don't see anywhere it states you get the GeForce MX130 with this model, just "Integrated Graphics".

The MX130 appears to have been an option. I wouldn't hold my breath your getting it with this one unless it states in ad.

Asked this before & didn't get a good answer: what good is a touch screen on a non-convertible laptop? The only answer I got before was something about scrolling, which is more easily done with two fingers on the touchpad rather than having to reach out to the screen every time you wanna scroll. Any other explanations?

Agreed. Imo, The responsiveness of the mouse pad is infinitely more important than a touchscreen on a laptop.

IF it actually has the mx130 I don't see why not but nobody is sure what features and hardware it actually ships with

You're assuming that everyone has 2 fingers...

Ok, in all seriousness, some people like the point and touch speed. It can feel more engaging as well. Some people are not as familiar with the touchpads, for example my daughter, so it's not as natural to use it to scroll and then swipe the pad a few times to then click on something. She's used to swiping and touching exactly what she wants to do. I myself, am familiar with touchpads and still see the speed and engagement benefits of the touchscreen.

It simply appears that the eligible model with GeForce graphics is sold out of inventory for now. Stock may come back in at a later time (a regular occurrence with this site).

Good luck!
