Same thing for me....$79.99 annual, but as soon as I logged in price goes up to $119 cause it's me. This is Comcast level shade right here.

I got Premium for $89 during last months sale. Make sure your internet is good and that your connection/ping to their servers is also good if you want to do any streaming

I didn't get 40% off, but did get 30% off to upgrade for the remainder of my current essentials plan (860 days). Worked out to about $62 for extra and $94 for premium. Not sure if this is an upgrade path that's always been available or just part of this promotion, but thanks to OP for pointing me there either way!

Paired with the PlayStation Costco gift card deal from a couple weeks back, this was pretty slick.

Not unless you wanna cloud stream games or play PS3 and earlier classic games. For me, I went with extra b/c while that seems appealing I have enough ps4 & 5 games to play and would never go back that far. Streaming doesn't interest me at all.

Have the offer for 30% off, but it is only applying to the upgrade cost for less than 90 days so not good for me.

I think it is new and existing because I couldn't get the $30 essential a few weeks back and it was maddening as that deal expired Dec 23rd. My old membership expired December 28th so was holding off for a deal like this. I had to settle for the extra at 40% off for $60; but at least I get to play Demon Souls and Spidey now so not complaining..
