A small quiet compressor like this coupled with a light flexible hose and pneumatic nailers with no trigger delay that are significantly smaller and lighter than their battery operated counterparts is a win in my book.

Except for a really quick job, I'd much rather deal with a compressor and hose than the size and weight and delay of battery operated guns.

Compressors are coming down, as people move to battery operated nail guns.

That's fine by me... I've been transitioning to pneumatic for my home shop as I'm tired of dealing with power tools being cheapened and failing me.

The cordless nailers have been especially problematic.

The companies making power tools have been cutting cirners in every way, and it gets ridiculous having to constantly return/replace powet tools... ESPECIALLY the nailers.

I've been looking for a deal on this model for months; thanks OP. Much quieter than the 20 year old pancake I'd been using.

Look to be a few more available in the ATL area (Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Lithia Springs).

Wow. I've been eyeing one of these for a long time. This is a slick deal. I was able to snatch one. Only saw one more. Brickseek was correct regarding price. So happy.

The nailer and stuff only need the tank correct? So technically for quick job you can plug into the tank for portable light weight without the motor. I kinda wish the tank here can be disconnected for that portable purpose too. For 1 or 2 nail you shouldn't need the motor to re-pressurize the tank.
we have an old air tank we've used to fill tires while out and about... same idea, just need a regulator. fill the tank with your compressor, go get the job done.

Just picked one up in the Philadelphia region. This compressor is very quiet and fills up rather quickly. Looking forward to using it for DIY projects.

And at only 2 lbs, that brad nailer weighs just a third of what DeWalt's [dewalt.com] cordless behemoth does.

As for hoses, I prefer these from Coilhose Pneumatics > https://amazon.com/dp/B004HQGDYK
Extremely lightweight and retain their coil without being a pain in the ass to use. Others recommend Flexzilla but I've never used that brand.
Fittings > https://amazon.com/dp/B005IUEC2O
I swapped out the couplers on my compressor and all the stock plugs on my tools. Don't waste your time with cheap fittings.

I scored one this evening in Macedonia, Ohio at $149. HomeDepot website did not indicate stock, but brick seek did. I think the HomeDepot website is indicating no stock at regular price, but that does not include the clearance ones. I took a chance and the stock matched brick seek. There are 3 more left in Macedonia. They also had the Makita 16ga nailer on clearance for $117 - I got one to see if the reviews are ok.

I have this one. It's pretty quiet but what I didn't know is that below freezing it just doesn't work. I mainly wanted it to top off my tires in the winter. If I want to do that, I need to take it inside for an hour and let it warm up. Thankfully it's not too heavy. My fault for not researching air compressors better.

Anyone remember this deal?
https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/8471967

granted it was from 2016...

this unit was aluminum 4.6 gallonsand about 44 lbs, also 60db

the Makita is 2 gallon also 44 lbs.

for trim work youd be fine, but anything heavier like a framing nailer it will be struggling to keep up.

What size tank/cfm do you think is needed if a blow gun is the primary use? Want to replace compressed air cans for tasks like dusting off the workbenches, spraying brake cleaner/crud out of crevices for auto work, cleaning out tools, etc. Would also use for miscellaneous stuff like airing tires and tacking small wood projects.

Grabbed one in Columbus, Ohio for $149. It was on the shelf right above the floor space where the model would normally go. Yellow tags indicated $149 as well. It just showed up for me this morning on brickseek. I'd recommend checking back from time to time in case stores are slower to move these to clearance.
