Went to Lowe's where there was 3 left. None there when I arrived, but 200+ available at warehouse. So the Lowe's employee in appliance section ordered it in store with free delivery. It showed the low price in their system. Also picked up 5 year service contract as Samsung does have questionable compressors. That was another $150.

dual ice makers?!? I've never had a fridge where the ice maker didn't have to be repaired/replaced at least twice. Seems like asking for trouble...

There were two at Lowes in mission valley San Diego and I got the last one. Someone just bought one in person. Ordered over the phone. Got the 5 year warranty. $1080 delivered tomorrow.

Gonna sell my 12 year old fridgedaire for $400 now. Had it listed and had a few offers. The Samsung is replacing a garage fridge. No ice maker or water dispenser needed. I might run a line to it someday from the RO system.

When it comes to Samsung refrigerators, they have questionable everything. I definitely wouldn't purchase this without the extended warranty, and even then, I wouldn't expect more than the 5 years the warranty covers.

Nothing near me.

One thing I hate is that Lowe's always advertise their appliance savings using MSRP at $2800 when really it is never listed at that price.

I'm sorry. I really like having an ice maker in the door. And I really like having a pull out freezer drawer.

Am I the only one????

Like many others here. Never another Samsung refrigerator. My nearly 3k refrigerator started having ice maker issues around 1.5? Years in. I replaced the unit myself and about year later it's freezing up and I would chip it out. Eventually it got bad enough that I just bought a counter ice maker rather than fuss with it anymore.
Likewise on one short term power outage it went into demo mode turning off cooling but still reading 0 and 37 on door. Luckily we caught it ourselves and reset it.
In short probably every brand has issues anymore but definitely skip Samsung if you can

Purchased a Samsung French door pullout freezer with ice maker in the door just like this fridge 5 years ago. The ice maker did have issues and alot of failures. After working on it myself time after time I finally contacted Samsung via their website and in the chat menu. Explained to them the issue. They said even though my fridge was 1 year out of the factory warranty they are going to fix it.

And they did.

They sent out a Samsung tech, swapped out a number of parts including the motherboard and the entire ice maker area. I signed for a bill over 1k at the end that was taken care of by Samsung, as it should have been.

My understanding is the ice maker freezing up is a known issue and Samsung is prone to fixing it in lieu of admitting the known issue.

Just my experience. It's been a few years since the repairs where done on the fridge and I've never had to even pull out the freezer drawer once to unblock ice.

For me, I am happy with my 2k purchase. Granted just 1 persons experience with a Samsung product and their support.

In my opinion, its not worth that price for a Samsung fridge as they have less than stellar compressors.

Buying a samsung appliance like a fridge i would expect it to break in 1-2 years. Warranty is a must
