I own this grill. I bought it October 2017. It's worked well for me, and got some heavier than normal use during covid lockdown. My biggest issue is that the interior is rusting out; the interior isn't stainless steel---or at least wasn't 5 years ago. It's been under a covered patio, too---though would get hit with some rain if the wind was high and from the right direction. I don't think it'll make it 10 years---which for an expensive grill, isn't great.
KitchenAid grills are made by Nexgrill and they are junk; avoid.
Can you elaborate a little on what makes them junk?

What about Tytus brand of grills that Costco carries around the same price range? I am in the market now, and either one looks appealing to me, as they both go on sale periodically. Way cheaper than a built-in would be.

I have this and haven't had any issues with it. The cover won't last long so that will be an investment.

If these are made by nextgrill I would avoid. My last nextgrill never cooked evenly, died an early death and I could not find parts for it.

Thank you for the heads up. I've owned a Nexgrill that began to rust two days after I assembled it... in the middle of a California summer!

The reviews for the Kitchenaid are quite poor. Have a look through the 1 star reviews and if they don't scare you away... vaya con dios...

Unrelated to this grill - I am looking for a nat gas grill - or a duel fuel that can be configured to run nat gas - and these things are damn hard to find in an economical variety. Any recommendations from slickdealers?

I'm unsure about all grills, but this grill offers a natural gas conversion kit. You have to switch out limiters to each burner, as natural gas burns less hot that propane. I did this conversion on this grill, which has a lot of burners so took some time.

I bought a kitchenaid grill and the bottom was completely rusted through in 2.5 years. Replacement part was more than cost of new grill. They look nice when new, but they cheap out and use way too thin of metal to last.

These look nice but inside they are cheap, the grates are not solid stainless steel and the fire tamers/flavorizers will start to disintegrate in a few months. in this price range you can get much better grills

I have owned 2 of this grill and both grills rusted like there was no tomorrow so I returned both of them. Good grill if it was kitchen aid for real but like others said, it is a nextgrill branded to kitchen aid. Another issue I had was parts when needed, it took so long and just did not want to bother anymore. Comes with a huge grill cover at least.

Important to look at quality of steel in these. Stick with mid/high Weber or dcs.

Bought this unit back in 2018 for $2,100. Like others said it does get rusty inside but its mostly on the burners and the flame covers. Mine still works fine with moderate use, if you want quality for something similar to this prepare to pay over $5000.
