They all look like pretty standard prices based on CCC. Am I missing something?

Dual hdd dock station says 10tb support, my question is what's going to happened if I put larger drive? Will it recognized or not at all?

Pretty sure it handles larger drives, search reviews and question. Maybe those were the largest drives available back when this dock came out.

Any recommendations? I'm looking for a dock to use for back ups only. I'd love to have 2 hard drives for duplicate backups. Ex. My original hard drive = ext hd1 = ext hd2

Are you looking to do scheduled backups?
I have a dual-bay drive, but I feel they are more for accessing free floating drives or used for one-off cloning (replacing a drive).

I wouldn't use it to house a drive that's used regularly, since it's not full enclosed.

Can I use this to clone my M.2 SSD so I can replace it with a larger capacity one?
If not, what would I need?

Speaking strictly for the usb adapter, I've bought it from Amazon for below $8 numerous times. Marginal savings though 😅

I haven't been so lucky with this brand. Though reviews say good thing but my experience differs

I bought the cheapest Sabernet adapter a year or 2 back. Inside the instructions was a link to get a Acronis true image software specifically designed for the adapter. It has come in handy a few times. I cant say for sure that this is the same one, but it is worth a check at Sabernets website to see if the software will work with the adapter you choose.

Yeah IMO may be economy, inflation, tariff, interest rate...the deal of the Black Friday wasn't that good either.

I bought the USB 3.0 to SSD / 2.5 Inch SATA I/||/||| Hard Drive Adapter a little over two years ago. It has helped me multiple times to transfer Windows from an HDD to an SSD. I'd buy it again.

Yeah, I last purchased it on August 29, 2018 for $4.94 after applying a coupon code.. which I tried applying again just now for the heck of it but no luck haha.

I am planning to buy an external SSD for backups of photos and documents. Are these adapters and internal ssds are good/cheaper compared to external ssd products like Samsung or crucial?
Which internal SSd and enclosure will you recommend which is fast and cheap
I can spend 100-120 bucks
Any advice is appreciated here

Why does it need to be full enclosed? To make it run hotter?

Please do not give advice based on opinions that you are not qualified to process.
