I got tired of paying for cases and never dropping my phone, so I stopped using a case now. I wanted a Swarovski Crystal case for my Galaxy a while back, glad I didn't lol

Interesting.

I have a case on my phone for years for maybe 10 total seconds of mistreatment.

If I could somehow avoid those 10 seconds…

(I've never known anyone who has never dropped their phone. I thought I was doing pretty well averaging maybe 1 drop per year.)

Yep all my friends freak the eff out when they see me using my phone raw dog. I tell them, it's actually safer without a case because you're much more careful when you know if you drop it, it's game over. I do use a screen protector just to be safe since a screen replacement is kinda pricey, but a dent on the edge of the phone doesn't matter since it'll be traded in for a new phone in a few years anyway. I've seen way too many friends with bulky case but cracked screen

Tried several brands of cases through the years, Otterbox and all the usual suspects. The best protection with durability, flexibility, grip-where-it-counts, and overall value I've found is from Speck. Widely available for a fair price, and often on sale for around $10-15, as seen with this posting.

Thx OP! In for one "Survivor - All-Terrain Earth Case for iPhone 13 Pro Max - Black" as my about year old leather case has gotten wasted somewhat. Dropped once accidentally and seemed to have left somewhat a lil gash/dent on the bottom left corner and leather seems to have wasted and now just feels smooth and not like originally got. Some may like it or they advertise as it; seemed to be better at the start and more soft and smooth lol edgy texture. Now feels just like a smooth leather plastic, I say this as it can slip and fall more easily. Along with few times of cleaning it with sanitizer wipes seems to have smoothed out the leather/texture or just automatically made micro snippets appear on the back side of the case. All this being from the original apple leather case bought off a slickdeals sale year ago on Amazon.

I concur. Speck Candyshell was my go-to for many years until I decided I wanted to give MagSafe a shot. Can find them mildly used or open box on the usual sites. IPhone 6-SE3 use the same case (except the first 6 version before they moved the camera).

Only broken or chipped phone I ever had was when I shut the door on mine. Have dropped them endless time and resell them looking brand new.
