Just pulled the trigger on the $2200 C2 a few weeks ago, so I'm hoping it doesn't drop lower or I'll be suffering some serious buyer's remorse.
Even after the C2 launched the C1 never got lower than $2200 except with YMMV liquidation sales

Prices will tank, but so will inventories.

My local shop was selling C2 for $2000. No free delivery though, delivery would be $80.
If you can handle the size, I'd grab it hard.

From what I've read, the B2 is essentially the C1, so it's definitely great for most people. C2 will get brighter

The C2 is better anyways. Try the "Cinema Home" picture setting (you can also do it on Vivid, but Vivid is a horrible setting for picture accuracy) for Dolby Vision content and go into the "Clarity" option in the Advanced Settings and turn on Precision Detail. It will only show up on those two settings. You may need to change some settings on that picture mode to get it to where you like it. It's my favorite mode now.
No one ever knows about Dolby Precision Detail, and I had never heard it mentioned in any reviews. I stumbled on it when I got my C2. It only exists on the C2 and G2. It makes Dolby Vision content pop even more. It's especially nice in dark scenes.
If you have any issues with flickering shadows, artifacts or strips of the screen looking brighter than other parts, just unplug your TV for 10-15 seconds and plug it back in. Turning it off and on won't work. You actually have to unplug it. That would fix the problem, though it would usually come back the next day and I'd have to do it again.
They just updated the software again, so maybe they'll finally fix it, but the unplugging fix has worked for just about everyone. At first, it only seemed to do that to me on certain movies, but then it happened with all of them. After a few cycles of unplugging and plugging back in, I haven't experienced the issue at all in over 2 weeks. It's a stupid bug, but it's worth going through that small hassle. It makes the picture look even better.
For some items. Most likely not for TVs. Everyone bought TVs during COVID lockup.
