Sapphire Pro version: All of the features of the Pro version with a stronger sapphire crystal lens
Pro Solar version: All of the features of the Pro version with a Power Glass lens, capable of solar charging
The sapphire screen is worth it. I have been using 5s Sapphire and now after 2.5 years of every single day use/training , its started to shut down for no reason. Its time for me to upgrade.
Also costco has 6 Pro Solar for 380. Its not Sapphire though.

Also, IMHO the "Solar" models are not worth any extra money. The solar does not fully charge, but just adds a little to the battery - maybe 10%, but not enough to prevent them from draining. I think this is a feature that Garmin is testing at the cost of consumers - maybe it works better on the Fenix 7, but on the 6 - "no thank you".

Was hiking grand canyon; with gloves/snow/etc, PITA with apple/samsung watches. Took few hikes to get used to buttons on Garmin but absolutely love it. Also, love garmin's non touchscreen, MIP display in bright light; apple & samsung not so nice in bright outdoors. got 6s sapphire (have smaller wrist) from AMZN for 330; love it. Just swapped out the strap for a Moko, <10$, perfect setup! (have had apple & samsung watches & Mi bans 7 Pro etc, but love this one the most)
I think the 6x Sapphire is the same as the 6x pro with sapphire screen?

So, you are very unlikely to scratch the gorilla glass face, much more likely to scratch up the bezel. And if it's impacts you're concerned about, sapphire is actually more vulnerable. Also, sapphire glass has a higher refractive index, meaning you'll see more reflections and the face won't look as "clear" (although only to a minor extent),
I know three people who have had the 6S / 6 / 6X since they came out - none of them have a scratch on their watch faces.
absolutely love this watch, great looking and one of my favorite purchases in the past year
Still, it is hard to believe this 2019 watch would be not-too-slow in 2023...
Going to give it a try.
Garmin has been generous with software updates including pushing the new HRV status feature from the Fenix 7.
I have the pro solar and get easily 2 weeks of battery life with 2 hours of GPS runs every day even in the winter.
Two thumbs up.
