As someone that's new to SD, I have no idea what people expect. I get it, there are a ton of people just looking for accolades, reps, and there are a ton of people that hate them. So, sharing is a double edged sword? I get thumbs down for a free item? It's really nuts. I honestly get both sides, I do, but if I don't post it, some PAID deal seeker will. I really don't get this site - isn't the point to share deals? And look at those who either thumb down a comment, or a deal. It's FREE. I just don't get it. It's just abuse. Sorry, I'm ranting.

I'm going to make a note in the original post, so people might understand, because this deal appeared long after their normal routine game posting (for the upcoming week). It's a one-off, kind of, as it appeared this week, not at the beginning of the last giveaway.

Thanks for posting ahead of time. When deals are posted the day they are active, quite frequently they do not gain enough views or likes to make it to the front page until it is too late or many people miss it.

Don't worry about the trolls… as someone who's posted 108 deals I've also noticed there are a ton of good people in the slickdeals community that appreciates any genuine effort on the platform. Thanks and repped.

Log in to your Epic Games Store account with your phone web browser. You can "buy" the free games in about 10 seconds and you always have your phone with you.

Not your fault either that people get grouchy, or that these two games are so niche that most folks won't enjoy them. I'm grateful for the Epic free games posts. My son is currently enjoying Supraland, which I likely wouldn't have bought, but was a hidden gem of a giveaway.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging feedback. Again, I apologize for my reaction.

I also have Supraland, and really enjoyed the reviews and gameplay videos. I look forward to playing it, at some point in climbing my Mt Everest of games. I'm not sure I'll live that long, but I'll try. ;-)
