Looks like prices will continue to drop until April May. If you have been waiting for a might as well continue to wait

Bought it direct from Western Digital for the same price, but they charge less taxes than Amazon for some reason. Unfortunately it's on back order.

The 14tb wd drives dropped the middle screw holes and my drive cage will not support them. There are some 3d printing files out there but none to purchase.

Bestbuy has them for $200 a few times a year.

Sometimes you can stack coupons directly from WD (join newsletter is 10-15%) and get less than $15/tb on Red Plus/Pro's. There used to be %back from paypal, but last time i checked it was removed from Paypal Deals

And you have a greater chance of getting a legit drive vs. amazon who will sell shucked drives as "new/original packaging".

I likely won't buy another hard drive from amazon after my last couple dealings with this.

mighty tempting for the price as cheap nas storage.. I've currently got WD gold drives which are miles better, but only 6tb.
I could double my storage capacity for less than half the cost I paid for my gold drives.

For what it's worth, I have 2 4tb reds in my NAS and they've ran strong for 4+ years.

$199 from Best Buy but could sometimes be also stacked with Amex offer if the timing aligned. It did last two times. I did it once and second time I waited too long; I'm sure it'll come back again though.

i've just been buying recertified enterprise drives, if you plan your arrays with enough tolerance and have a backup, no worries
