I mainly put that out there so to raise awareness that an rx 6800 and a rx 6800xt are two different cards. I got tripped up on that stuff some years ago. Most benchmark vids out there use the xt's and it's just easy to confuse the two.

6800 is faster in just about everything except ray tracing and has twice the vram of 3070, so it's a lot more future proof.

I ordered this exact card from Amazon a couple weeks ago, sold and shipped by Amazon themselves and received a desk mat, not a graphics card, so buyer beware.

Exactly! I just bought a EVGA 3070 Ti FTW3 (new) for about $400 a few days ago. If it's not as described, oh well. Ebay focuses on making things right for buyers, so I'm not worried. Maybe now I can finally finish the build I started a year ago. Just had to limp along with iGPU since then... Frown

This isn't correct the Rx 6800 is a different tier card than the 6750xt(6700xt oc), much bigger memory bandwidth and more cores, checkout tech power up for card specs if you need. The 6800 generally beats the 3070ti and more competes with the 3080 except for ray tracing. The 6800 will match or beat the 2080ti across the board except for again ray tracing. The real decision is does ray tracing matter and nvidia extra features for game streaming. Graphics card pricing and naming is currently completely messed up so good luck out there.

If you need a card immediately and are in the sub-$550 price range; it's one of the better values available. But if it were me and I could wait a little bit I'd rather hold out for a sub $530 6800 XT. If I could wait longer I would wait and see how the 7700 XT and 7800 XT's are priced and what they have to offer and if increased competition at that level lowers the prices on other cards.

If you are into ray tracing, the 3070 is better. However, it will only run RT well at 1080p. The 6800 has better rasterization performance than the 3070. It's on par with a 3070 ti, and some games closer to a 3080. The 6800 should play all games at 4K well without ray tracing unless you are looking for 144 Hz, but you would need a 3090 or 6900.
