I am skeptical as all the reviews (except for one star) are from customers who received a free product. I would take a chance if this were priced around 50.

I believe the safety strap fastener is to mitigate/resolve the recall issue.

My baby has the mamaroo5 which someone paid 300 as a gift for us. My baby doesn't enjoy it. Only a few times I've been able to put him in it. I didn't realize there was a cheaper option that does basically the same stuff!
Maybe as he grows up he will like it more, but for now it's a decor item.

I have a previous version and my baby loved it the first couple of months. I don't think it's a must-have, but it was worth it for us especially at a time when the baby didn't have a schedule yet. We were able to put the baby there and have dinner with my husband, or just have a break. My baby loves motion but didn't like baby-wearing until he was around 6 months old, so this was a good option.

We had one but our child never really got into it. They are really hit or miss on if your child will like it. They are well made but hard to justify the cost without knowing if your child will like it.
