Used this previously when someone lost the key to their lock on their storage locker. Piece of cake in cutting off that lock. Had to grind down a bit of sidewalk that was sticking up due to tree roots as well. They are beneficial, but not used all the time here.

Are brickseek prices accurate for home Depot clearance? Brick City is showing them at my local stores at regular price... I wonder if the OP could check their own store on brickseek and see if it reflects the clearance price.

Edit:. Looked up the South lake Texas ZIP code on brickseek and it also shows regular price. So I guess the only way to tell is to actually show up at the store.

In my experience, Brickseek doesn't show prices for HD clearance items. The price disappears and it just says 'clearance' in grey where the price would be.

That's mine too. I have also observed with Brickseek that if an item is shown in stock and with a price shown then it is not going to be on clearance at that store. I have yet to find a case to debunk that experience these past few years. Sometimes they may put a special clearance tag that says something like "reduced 25%" or whatever because it's a scratch and dent item but that gives it a different sku to ring it up by.

If you don't have a cordless grinder, this is better than nothing, and prices have jumped a lot on these in the last couple of years. If you have used a decent cordless grinder, don't expect this brushed version to have comparable power, it does not.

The Ryobi brushless grinders are noticeably more powerful and have a locking paddle switch. But even reconditioned ones at Direct Tools are more than triple this price right now.

Prices now do not represent the clearance prices of Home Depot items. There was a brief time about a couple of years ago you could call the individual home depot and get the robot to tell you the exact price over the phone.
As an aside none of my local clearance prices show up at my Lowe's brickseek. They even say they are out of stock when they are still in store.

If you need one and don't need cordless, Harbor Freight has an entry level model for $15: https://www.harborfreight.com/pow...58089.html

I bought this wireless one to replace that. Battery operated is pretty handy especially if you have to use it at weird angles. The guard on the harbor freight didn't really line up well either but it worked fine.

My safe recently got jammed and couldn't open it so I called locksmith and they used this to cut my safe.
