Hackable for the batteries down to $52.78 or the tools down to 106.22

Order the tool kit and the batteries for delivery. You'll get 2 confirmation emails - the tools will say $106 and the batteries $52. Wait for delivery, and return whichever you don't want to a store, where you show them the email and they refund that amount.

It's not really a hack, just bending the returns process and taking advantage of home depot's sales system being designed poorly.

I wouldn't wait for cheaper batteries honestly. The $40 2 pack 4aH probably won't be back until November probably. $52 for a 2 pack is pretty good actually

Original Ryobi batteries? Those prices would be unheard of if so. I don't have experience with off brand, but I personally stick to reputable brands for their quality control for electronics
2 8aH batteries for $57 is in "too good to be true" realm. These, like many of the dewalt ones, are likely counterfeit.

Not saying this is a bad deal but seems like an odd mix of tools. The mix of macro and micro type projects just don't align in my mind. Can't say I have ever considered using trim router and glue gun on the same project. Same goes for the sander and dremel.
It is odd. 2 woodworking tools, 2 hand crafting tools. But, instead of selling them at $35 each, they bundle them together to make it more enticing. I know if I didn't have any of these this would be somewhat attractive. I have that router and that glue gun and have a different orbital sander...but have considered a small dremel like tool too.

Yes, weird. But still, can be attractive.

Is this dead? I can't get the kit down to that price even after adding battery and checking out.

Is the glue gun dual temp?
Looks like a single temperature setting.
I have this glue gun, it's single temp.

I don't know I could see those things all being used for crafting.
I think those come out to less than I paid at direct tools for the combo individual, with no battery.

Yup, I do too. Takes a hot minute to get hot and is sensitive to dead batteries but it is very cool to use it with no wires. Rotary tool is also super useful and well made but is much louder than an actual Dremel.

Thanks OP! I picked up this deal because I didn't have any of these tools and I've been wanting the rotary tool and router for a while. Was able to take the 4ah batteries back since I didn't need them and it came out to $106.22 for the tool bundle.

How do you do the hack? I don't see how they can be sent different ways.
TIA
Have to be sent the same way. Return the bundle you don't want.

Do you have to actually return it or can you do two stores and just not pick it up?

Is this the same router that is on clearance for $35? I also saw a rotary tool on clearance for $40, so that's $75 of the 109 after hack. So that's $34 for the glue gun and sander...

i buy on ebay. About $ 57 for 2 8ah is typical.
There's no 8ah, must be third party batteries.

Agree, but for the price some can be flipped and they may be tools you'll eventually buy anyway.

It also has 2 of the 1.5ah batteries, plus a charger which would be another ~$30
